You can still pull your marriage from the pitfalls of staleness and recurring setbacks. Recapture the lost spark that initially drew you together by breaking the unhealthy behavioral patterns and adding new spices in your marriage.

By the time children enters the picture, couples usually start to drift away from each other. It becomes more difficult to spend quality time together with children on top of their priorities. Moreover, some relationships easily wear out due to the recurring and boring patterns in their relationship. The longer a couple lives together as husband and wife, the more the relationship become predictable. The addition of children and the unhealthy cycles of every day life in a marriage make the whole equation at risk of falling apart.

Do not let your marriage fall into these traps. You can keep your marriage up and running in several ways possible. However, if you find protecting your marriage from these pitfalls inevitable then you have to look for ways in order to put things back on track. Strengthen your relationship with these tips from marriage experts:

#1Do things together

Doing activities like eating, hiking, sleeping and even watching TV together strengthens the foundation of your marriage. Build dreams together and fulfill them with your hands together. It will help if you both paint your future as a couple and then plan ways in which to reach them one by one.

#2Be spontaneous and unpredictable

Learn the art of spontaneity and unpredictability, and surprise your spouse in the most exciting way possible. Make special plans and surprise treats every now and then even when there is no occasion and reason to celebrate at all. You may also opt to learn more about your partner by playing what ifs or other trivia. You may discover some things about your partner that you never knew existed.

#3Spend time alone

You may take vacation or out of the town trips at least once a month without the kids. You may leave your children with their grandparents or hire a babysitter over the weekend. Use this break from your parental obligations as an opportunity to catch up with your spouse and spend real quality time without having to worry about any distractions.

#4Make your partner feel good

The worst thing that you can do is to make your partner feel bad about the way they are. Do not criticize or ask for more than what he or she can give. Moreover, you always have to reassure your partner that you love him or her for who they are. Avoid comparing your partner and his or her income with your neighbor.
